The Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors awarded contract 2018-C20 Park Hills Drainageway to the lowest bidder, Aquatic Resource Restoration Company (ARRC), in the amount of $2,388,736.10.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be accepted by the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors, for Project 2018-C20 at the office of the Public Works Director, Ferguson Township, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA 16801-2798 until 2:00 pm, prevailing time, on September 18, 2023 at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud. Envelopes must be clearly marked in the bottom left corner “Bid for Contract 2018-C20 Park Hills Drainageway”.

PROJECT 2018-C20: PARK HILLS DRAINAGEWAY

The project area includes the lands owned by Ferguson Township known as the Park Hills Drainageway that starts along Devonshire Drive and proceeds southeast toward Circleville Road in State College, PA.  The project includes tree clearing/removal, earthwork, streambed stabilization using regenerative storm conveyance methods of step pools and riffles constructed of rock, drainage pipe and inlet installation, seeding, and other associated work.

All bidders must demonstrate experience with similar streambed restoration projects to be considered qualified for the project.  The project is subject to minimum prevailing wage rates.

A pre-bid conference will be held on August 31, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Ferguson Township, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA in Conference Room 2.

The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or copies obtained in the Public Works Department of the Ferguson Township Municipal Building, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA 16801-2798, upon payment of $150.00/set. If mailed, an additional fee will be charged to cover postage and handling. The plans may be viewed on the Ferguson Township website www.twp.ferguson.pa.us and Contract Documents can be sent electronically at no charge. Bids shall be valid for forty-five (45) days from the date of opening unless extended otherwise.

All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid.  Ferguson Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any bid formalities.
