Work on Suburban Park to Begin End of July

Construction is anticipated to start at Suburban Park on July 31, 2023 and run through the end of 2023. The proposed work consists of removing the existing drainage culvert and relocating the stream to the south along with other stormwater upgrades, new concrete kiosk area at the existing parking lot with a kiosk and bike rack, asphalt perimeter path and connecting paths with a connection to the regional bike route, new pavilion with horseshoe pits, outdoor fitness exercise equipment, four (4) bridges, and perimeter plantings at the southern and eastern property lines.

While work is being performed, the tennis courts, play area, and pavilion will remain open; however, alternate parking will need to be sought as the on-lot parking area will be closed to the public. The park can be accessed from Vairo Boulevard (to the north) and East Aaron Drive to the south of the park. Alternate parking locations would be on Marjorie Mae Street off Vairo Boulevard or along East Aaron Drive to the south. Special attention should be provided to no parking locations.
