2018-C2 Owens Drive and Myrtle Avenue

On Monday, April 2, 2018 the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors awarded Contract 2018-C2 Owens Drive and Myrtle Avenue to Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. in the amount of $177,476.35.

Bids were publicly opened for the 2018-C2 Owens Drive and Myrtle Avenue project on March 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. and read aloud. David Modricker, Ryan Scanlan, and Marcella Bell of Ferguson Township were present. Also present was Andrew Larson, Glenn O. Hawbaker; Makenna Pick, HRI, Inc.; and Gary Garrison and David Nice of Nittany Oil. The following three bids were recieved:

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be accepted by the Ferguson Township  Board of Supervisors, for Project 2018- C2 at the office of the Public Works Director, Ferguson Township,  3147  Research Drive,  State College,  PA 16801 until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on March 27, 2018 at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud.

PROJECT 2018-C2:  CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT OWENS DRIVE & MYRTLE AVENUE

The project area includes all of Owens Drive and all of Myrtle Avenue, both located in Ferguson Township,  Centre County.   The project includes installation of milling of existing  bituminous pavement,  construction of a cul-de-sac,  placement of concrete curb and sidewalk ramps, placement of bituminous asphalt, driveway restoration, and other associated work.

Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified for the work being performed with the bid. The project is subject to minimum prevailing wage rates.

The contract documents may be examined and/or copies obtained in the Engineering Department of the Ferguson Township Municipal  Building, 3147Research Drive, State College, PA 16801, upon payment of $50.00/set. If mailed, an additional fee will be charged to cover postage and handling. The plans may be viewed by clicking on the link below and contract documents can be sent electronically at no charge. Bids shall be valid for forty-five (45) days from the date of opening unless extended otherwise.

An optional pre-bid meeting will be held on Monday March 19, 2018 at 9:00 AM at the Ferguson Township Building.

All bids shall be accompanied  by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid. Ferguson Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any bid formalities
