2018-C17 Green Light Go Vehicle Detection Upgrade

On Monday, June 18, 2018, the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors awarded Contract 2018-C17 Green Light Go Vehicle Detection Upgrade  to Tel-Power, Inc. in the amount of $112,804.60.

Bids were publicly opened on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 1:00 PM for the 2018-C17 Green Light Go Vehicle Detection Upgrade project and read aloud. In attendance was David Clabaugh of Tel-Power, Inc., and Mark Knarr of M & B Services, LLC. Also in attendance was Ron Seybert and Marcella Bell of Ferguson Township. The following four bids were recieved:

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be accepted by the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors, for Project 2018-C17 at the office of the Public Works Director, Ferguson Township, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA 16801-2798 until 1:00 PM, prevailing time, on May 29, 2018 at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud.

PROJECT 2018-C17: GREEN LIGHT GO VEHICLE DETECTION UPGRADE

The project area includes the intersections of Whitehall Road & Research Drive, West College Avenue & Whitehall Road, West College Avenue & Bristol Avenue, and Blue Course Drive and Old Gatesburg Road, all located in Ferguson Township, Centre County.  The project includes installation of digital radar detection for both stop bar and approach detection, and other associated work.

Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified for the work being performed with the bid. 

The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or copies obtained in the Engineering Department of the Ferguson Township Municipal Building, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA 16801, upon payment of $25.00/set. If mailed, an additional fee will be charged to cover postage and handling.  The plans may be viewed by clicking the link below and Contract Documents can be sent electronically at no charge. Bids shall be valid for forty-five (45) days from the date of opening unless extended otherwise.

All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid.  Ferguson Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any bid formalities.
