On Monday, April 2, 2018, the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors awarded Contract 2018-C1 Sycamore, W., Gatesburg, Tadpole, E. Chestnut, Pine Hall to HRI, Inc. in the amount of $1,288,492.00.

Bids were publicly opened for the 2018-C1 Sycamore, W. Gatesburg, Tadpole, E. Chestnut, Pine Hall project on March 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. and read aloud. David Modricker, Ryan Scanlan, and Marcella Bell of Ferguson Township were present. Also present was Andrew Larson, Glenn O. Hawbaker; Makenna Pick, HRI, Inc.; and Gary Garrison and David Nice of Nittany Oil. The following two bids were received:

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will  be accepted by the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors, for Project 2018- C1  at the office of the Public Works Director,  Ferguson Township,  3147  Research Drive, State College, PA 16801 until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on March 27, 2018 at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud.

PROJECT 2018-C1: CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT SYCAMORE, W. GATESBURG, TADPOLE,  E. CHESTNUT,  PINE HALL

The project area includes all of Sycamore Drive, a portion of West Gatesburg  Road, a portion of Tadpole  Road, a portion of East Chestnut Street and a portion of Pine Hall road, all located in Ferguson Township, Centre County. The project includes installation of new stormwater pipe and inlets, cold in-place recycling of existing  pavement, placement of bituminous asphalt, driveway and shoulder restoration,  and other associated work.

Bidders must be Penn DOT prequalified for the work being performed with the bid.  The project is subject to minimum prevailing wage rates.

The contract documents may be examined and/or copies obtained in the Engineering Department of the Ferguson Township Municipal  Building, 3147 Research Drive,  State College, PA 16801, upon payment of $100.00/set. If mailed, an additional fee will be charged to cover postage and handling. The plans may be viewed by clicking the link below and contract documents can be sent electronically at no charge. Bids shall be valid for forty-five (45) days from the date of opening unless extended otherwise.

An optional  pre-bid meeting will be held on Monday March 19, 2018 at 9:00 AM at the Ferguson Township Building. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid. Ferguson Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any bid formalities.
