2017-C9 Microsurfacing

On Monday, June 5, 2017, the Board of Supervisors awarded the 2017-C9 Mircosurfacing project to Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc., in the amount of $469,695.88.

Bids for Contract 2017-C9 Microsurfacing were opened publicly on May 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM and read aloud. The bid opening was attended by Ryan Scanlan, Ferguson Township Assistant Engineer; Marcella Bell, Ferguson Township Public Work Adminsitrative Assistant; and Mike Polak of Asphalt Paving Systems. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors will accept sealed bid proposals in the office of the Public Works Director, Ferguson Township Municipal Building, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA 16801. Bids shall be received until 2:00 PM on May 16, 2017, at which time they shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be received for the following:

PROJECT 2017-C9 Microsurfacing:

Project includes the placement of approximately 165,546 square yards of a Bituminous Surface Treatment and Polymer Modified Emulsion Paving System, commonly referred to as Microsurfacing on various streets within Ferguson Township, College Township, and Harris Township. Bid package is $5.00/set and an additional $5.00 if mailed. There is no fee for pdf documents.

Detailed specifications can be obtained at the Ferguson Township Municipal Building, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. A bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid amount shall be included with the sealed bid and will be forfeited should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract with Ferguson Township. Bids must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope “Bid for Project 2017-C9 Microsurfacing”. Bids shall be valid for forty-five (45) days from the date of opening unless extended otherwise. The Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities.
