On Monday, June 6, 2017, the Board of Supervisors awarded the 2017-C22 Meckley Road project to New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company in the amount of $57,913.70.
Bids for Contract 2017-C22 Meckley Road were opened publicly at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 and read aloud. The bid opening was attended by Ryan Scanlan, Ferguson Township Assistant Engineer; Marcella Bell, Ferguson Township Public Works Administrative Assistant; and Andrew Larson of Glenn O. Hawbaker. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be accepted by the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors, for Project 2017-C22 at the office of the Public Works Director, Ferguson Township, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA 16801-2798 until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on May 30, 2017 at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud.
PROJECT 2017-C22: ROAD IMPMROVEMENTS PROJECT – MECKLEY ROAD
The project is on Meckley Road, located in the Pine Grove Mills area of Ferguson Township, Centre County. The project includes milling of existing pavement, placement of bituminous asphalt, construction of roadside shoulders, and associated work. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified for the work being performed with the bid.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or copies obtained in the Engineering Department of the Ferguson Township Municipal Building, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA 16801-2798, upon payment of $35.00/set. If mailed, an additional fee will be charged to cover postage and handling. The plans may be viewed on this webpage below and Contract Documents can be sent electronically at no charge. Bids shall be valid for forty-five (45) days from the date of opening unless extended otherwise.
All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid. Ferguson Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any bid formalities.
