2017-C2 Valley Vista/Bachman & Science Park Turn Lanes
On Monday, April 17, 2017, the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors awarded the 2017-C2 Valley Vista Dr/Bachman Ln Left Turn Lane and Science Park Road Right Turn Lane to Glenn O. Hawnaker in the amount of $437,813.90.
Bids for Contract 2017-C2 Valley Vista Dr/Bachman Ln Left Turn Lane & Science Park Rd Right Turn Lane were opened publicly at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 and read aloud. The bid opening was attended by Allix Gresock of HRI, Inc.; Andrew Larson of Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc.; Ron Seybert, Ferguson Township Engineer; David Modricker, Ferguson Township Public Works Director; and Marcella Bell, Ferguson Township Public Works Administrative Assistant. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be accepted by the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors for project 2017-C2 at the office of the Public Works Director, Ferguson Township, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA 16801 until 2:00 PM on April 11, 2017, at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud.
PROJECT 2017-C2 VALLEY VISTA DRIVE/BACHMAN LANE LEFT TURN LANE AND SCIENCE PARK ROAD RIGHT TURN LANE
The project area includes a portion of Valley Vista Drive for construction of a left turn lane at Bachman Lane and a portion of Science Park Road for construction of a right turn lane at Circleville Road, all located in Ferguson Township, Centre County. The project includes milling of existing pavement, excavation and paving for roadway widening and shoulder rehabilitation, new concrete curb and concrete curb and gutter, installing new inlets and storm pipes, construction of stormwater BMPs, upgrading curb ramps, placement of bituminous asphalt, revisions to existing traffic signal, and other associated work.
Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified for the work being performed with the bid. The project is subject to minimum prevailing wage rates.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or copies obtained in the Engineering Department of the Ferguson Township Municipal Building, 3147 Research Drive, State College, PA 16801-2798, upon payment of $50.00/set. If mailed, an additional fee will be charged to cover postage and handling. The plans may be viewed below and contract documents can be sent electronically at no charge. Bids shall be valid for forty-five (45) days from the date of opening unless extended otherwise.
An optional pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday March 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Ferguson Township Building.
All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid. Ferguson Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any bid formalities.
The engineer's estimate for this project is $536,329.95
