Solar Panel Installation on the New Public Works Building

Solar Panel

Ferguson Township is installing a 108 kW solar array on the roof of the new public works building. there are 240 solar modules on the roof, each one being 450 watts. The system was designed to fill up the roof, leaving room for walkways and mechanical equipment. It was initially modelled by the Township's consultant to offset 100% of the building's energy usage. Both the solar array's energy production and the building's energy consumption will be monitored and displayed in the building lobby.

The project is installed by Envinity which is currently offering Township and County residents a co-op level bulk purchasing deal to get solar on more homes over the next four months at a lower price.
