Property owners may qualify to apply for various credits & exemptions to reduce their individual stormwater fee. One credit that property owners qualify for is by using rain barrels on the property. Rain Barrels capture rainwater which can be used for watering gardens. This credit can reduce a property's stormwater fee by up to 20%.
When building a rain barrel, it is important to keep it fully enclosed to prevent mosquitoes from breeding on the still water.
