Park Hills Drainageway Project Update: Continued Traffic Control on Devonshire Drive
April 19, 2024 Project Update:
Wet weather continues to slow progress, but overall the project is still ahead of schedule. Test pits and concrete encasement of the sanitary sewer line in the middle and lower reaches will continue next week and possibly into the week of April 29, depending upon weather. Once all sanitary test pits/encasement is complete the construction of the channel improvements can begin.
The water and sewer utility work on Devonshire Drive was completed this week. Upcoming work includes the installation of the new storm pipe and structures between the houses at 654 and 660 Devonshire Drive and across Devonshire Drive. Delays along Devonshire Drive can continue to be expected until that work is completed with flaggers managing traffic when restricted to one lane.
Overview
The Park Hills Drainageway Project is an undertaking by the Ferguson Township Public Works Department to manage stormwater going into the Park Hills Stream stretching from Devonshire Drive to Park Hills Park. The scope of the project includes stormwater management, erosion control, improvement of utilities in the drainageway, and tree preservation.
