Solicitation & Peddling Ordinance

No Soliciting Notice

Due to robocalls ruining direct marketing calls for consumers, organizations are looking to other options such as door-to-door marketing. The Ferguson Township Police Department would like to remind our residents of the solicitation and peddling laws enforced by the Township. A person engaged in any transient retail business may only engage in house-to-house activity from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on any day of the week and not on Sunday or a legal holiday. Sellers are prohibited from peddling goods upon any of thee  streets, sidewalks or public grounds in the Township.

Anyone interested in performing door-to-door business in Ferguson Township must fill out a permit application here. After submitting an application to the Ferguson Township Municipal Building, an Officer will review and perform a background check on the applicant before deciding to approve the permit or not. You can view the ordinance regulations here.
