Firework Regulations

The Ferguson Township Police Department would like to remind our residents of the Fireworks laws in Pennsylvania. The FTPD enforces firework regulations based on the State Police guidelines. A full FAQ of legal firework usage can be found on the State Police's website here.

In an Ordinance from Ferguson Township, fireworks are prohibited within parks or playgrounds without having previously obtained written consent and approval of the Director of the Centre Region Parks and Recreation Department.

The FTPD is asking resident to please be considerate to your neighbors with children and pets that are afraid of fireworks.  Remember that people with PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can cause undue stress from fireworks.
