Ferguson Township Police Department Attains Re-Accreditation

PD reaccreditation

On July 25, 2023, the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission formally recognized the Ferguson Township Police Department with a Certificate of Re-accreditation.

In Pennsylvania, only 160 police departments are accredited to the 1,057 Act 120 police departments.

The accreditation program currently has 125 professional standards and 370 sub-sections within those standards. An agency must prove that its policies meet the standards, that training is provided on those policies and that those policies are followed and properly documented. The process requires continual evaluation of policies and practices.
