Does Ferguson Township regulate chickens?

Yes, a Zoning Permit is required to keep and raise chickens.

  • The Zoning Ordinance in Chapter 27-720 Domestic Chickens, allows the keeping of not more than 6 chicken hens, roosters are not permitted.
  • Chickens must be keep for personal use only and be kept in a chicken coop, chicken tractor or fenced in area (chicken pen) at all times.
