Ordinance Enforcement

Ferguson Township employs a full-time Ordinance Officer to enforce Township ordinances relative to grass and weeds, animal control, parking, winter sidewalk maintenance, and more. The Ordinance Officer reports to the Planning & Zoning Department. The Ordinance Officer provides rabies and license information to dog owners. The license and rabies tag must be on the dog’s collar.

The Ordinance Officer also patrols for unregistered and abandoned vehicles, snow that’s not cleared from sidewalks within 24 hours, road debris that can cause traffic hazards, and overgrowth of grass, weeds and other vegetation during the growing season of April 1 through October 30.

It is recommended that residents review the Fee Schedule, as well as search the Code of Ordinances by keyword to find more information about requirements and penalties for noncompliance.
