Presentation on Preliminary Design of the Township's Pollutant Reduction Plan Project Options

PRP Presentation

On December 5, 2023, the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors received a presentation on preliminary design of the Township's Pollutant Reduction Plan project options.

The presentation, given by Township Stormwater Engineer Aaron Jolin and a representative of consultant KCI Technologies Inc., is part of an on-going series of discussions and steps to fulfill the Township's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit requirements, which call for completion of certain projects in accordance with the Township's Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP).

The Township Stormwater Engineer gave a presentation to the Board at the January 11, 2023, Worksession on the PRP and project options. In June 2023, the Board adopted a resolution to execute a professional services contract with KCI Technologies Inc. for the preliminary design of two projects: Slab Cabin Run - Stream Restoration and the Beaver Branch Restoration Project.

The most recent presentation on December 5, 2023, served to provide an update on the projects, including preliminary design, milestones for next steps, preliminary costs, and an option to participate in the "Duck Pond" project.
