Please call customer service if you are experiencing a missed collection or any other problems with your weekly collection.  Do not send an email regarding refuse missed collections.

2024 Holiday Schedule

There will be no collection on:
January 1 - New Year's Day
May 27 - Memorial Day
July 4 - Independence Day
September 2 - Labor Day
November 28  - Thanksgiving Day
December 25 - Christmas Day

There will be a one-day delay for the rest of the week following each of the above days, with Friday's collection taking place on Saturday.

*A short-term or permanent waiver of the at-door fee is available to residents who are eligible under the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Residents must complete an application and provide documentation; the waiver is approved by the individual municipality.

Curbside recycling collection includes unlimited curbside recycling of bi-metal, aluminum, and spiral cans; clear, brown, and green bottles, jars, and jugs; plastic bottles, jars, and jugs; mixed paper and paperboard; and corrugated cardboard.

The refuse collection and disposal costs include semi-annual bulk waste collection, weekly collection of fewer than three small bulk items, and annual collection of Christmas trees.

Notice of Collection Delays

Ferguson Township reports refuse and recycling collection delays as information becomes available on the Township's webpage www.twp.ferguson.pa.us, but residents are encouraged to consult Waste Management's website for its holiday schedule and other schedule changes, as well as sign-up instructions to receive text or email alerts. Residents may also consult the Centre Region Refuse and Recycling website.

New Contract for 2025-2030

A new Refuse and Recycling contract begins April 1, 2025  for residents of Benner, College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton Townships with curbside collection of their refuse and recycling. More Information
