Pine Grove Mills is a historic village nestled at the base of Rothrock State Park in Ferguson Township. Historically known as home to three mills in the town – grist (flour), stave, and saw. This village experienced rapid growth throughout the days when horse and buggy and the train station, once located near the Ferguson Township school grounds, served as primary modes of transportation. The development of Pine Grove Mills Small Area Plan (2019) brought ideas, vision for the future and emerging themes that served as a foundation to establish goals – the Pine Grove Mills Small Area Plan Advisory Committee leads the implementation of the Small Area Plan.

Pine Grove Mills is a perfect place to engage the community through local events for a greater sense of community and serves as a desirable destination for prospective visitors. More efforts are happening to bring people together for a feeling of humility, improve pedestrian and bicyclist safety, mobility, and connectivity throughout and beyond Pine Grove Mills.
