Township Awarded Strategic Management Planning Program Grant

On October 31, 2023, Ferguson Township was awarded $32,500 in grant funding from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). These funds were applied for by the Township Manager and will help to offset the cost for participation in the DCED Strategic Management Planning Program.

The purpose of the program is to thoroughly assess and ensure effective and efficient delivery of Ferguson Township services, as well as to promote growth and community development strategies for the area. Ferguson Township’s participation in the DCED program will also establish a multi-year financial plan that will assist the Board in future discussions for decisions on closing the gap between revenues and expenditures while prioritizing the Board's work plan.

The goals of Ferguson Township's participation in this program include strengthening the Township's multi-year financial monitoring and planning processes, improvement of financial administration procedures, and exploring regional cooperation initiatives and cost sharing strategies to name a few.
