Emergency Medical Service and Public Works Week

Emergency Medical Services Week and Public Works Week, both to be held May 19 to 25, 2024.

Emergency Medical Services Week

The theme for the Emergency Medical Services Week this year is “Honoring Our Past, Forging Our Future”

Emergency Medical Services is a vital public service ready to provide lifesaving care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The team consists of first responders, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, emergency dispatchers, firefighters, police officers, educators, administrators, prehospital nurses, emergency nurse, emergency physicians, trained members of the public and other care providers.

The Board of Supervisors encourages all residents to join the Township in recognizing prehospital and hospital Emergency Medical Service practitioners for the services they provide to the community.

Public Works Week

The theme for the National Public Works Week this year is “Advancing Quality of Life for All”

The health, safety and well-being of the people of this nation depend on public works professionals representing all levels of government, who are responsible for maintaining the transportation, water supply, wastewater systems, public buildings, and other facilities essential to serve our citizens.

It is in the public interest for the citizens and civic leaders of this country to gain knowledge of and to maintain a progressive interest in the public works needs and programs of their respective communities, and to acknowledge the efforts public works professionals make to significantly improve the quality of life for communities, large and small.

The Public Works Week has been designated to highlight the accomplishments of the dedicated public servants who work tirelessly on behalf of all Americans and who rarely get the credit they deserve.

The Ferguson Township urges all Township residents to join in recognizing the substantial contributions Public Works personnel make to protecting our national health, safety, and advancing quality of life for all.
