Work to Re-start Next Week on Atherton Street

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will continue work on its Atherton Street project on February 27, 2023.

Monday, February 27 through Thursday, March 2, traffic on Atherton Street between College Avenue and Beaver Avenue will be reduced to one lane in both directions and signals will be in flash mode with flaggers controlling flow of traffic at the intersections when needed.

Motorists may experience some delays. 

A 60-hour detour on Atherton Street between College Avenue and Beaver Avenue is set to begin as early as Tuesday, March 7 for waterline installation.
