Poole Anderson Construction will be on site at 914 W. College Avenue with numerous construction vehicles pouring concrete at the construction site.
Noise Permit Notice

Ferguson Township would like to alert residents of construction work taking place at the construction site located at 914 W. College Avenue during irregular working hours on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

Poole Anderson Construction will be completing a concrete pour at the construction site located at the intersection of W. College Avenue and S. Buckhout Street during early morning hours on July 28, 2022. During the time of this construction, multiple concrete trucks will be located in the area, potentially causing noise disturbance and traffic delays in the area at this time. We encourage motorists and pedestrians traveling at these hours in this area to be cautious and reduce speeds.

Ferguson Township worked with Poole Anderson Construction on the permit issuance for this project under the agreement that Poole Anderson would provide written notice to nearby property owners of the nature of this project by the end of the day on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 to assure timely preparation and notification of this activity for residents. All nearby property owners have received print notice from Poole Anderson Construction.

The benefits of this project occurring during irregular hours includes a lower volume of vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic in the area, which avoids most roadway disturbances for travelers, and ensures safer conditions for construction site workers. It's estimated that 45, or more, heavy construction vehicles and concrete pumps will be frequently moving in and out of the area during this time, and under normal hours, would create hazardous conditions in the area for travelers and workers alike. The intersection of W. College Avenue and S. Buckhout Street is one of the most heavily traveled intersections in Ferguson Township, and the nature of this work and volume of construction vehicles would inherently cause obstructions and longer delays during regular working hours. Lower temperatures during the night and early morning also create safer working conditions for construction site workers, and helps prevent heat-related illness and injury during a labor intensive project.

We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of Ferguson Township residents in relation to the timing and nature of this project. If you have any questions relating to this project, please contact Ferguson Township.
