Schlow, Centre County Libraries Respond to Coronavirus Outbreak

County’s public library buildings will be closed until at least March 29
Schlow Library

In order to help combat the coronavirus outbreak, the Office of Commonwealth Libraries has asked public libraries to suspend operations, so Schlow Centre Region Library in State College and Centre County Library & Historical Museum locations in Bellefonte, Centre Hall, and Phillipsburg as well as the Bookmobile will be closed to the public beginning Monday, March 16 through at least Sunday, March 29.

No items borrowed from Schlow Library or any of the Centre County Library locations will be due through at least Friday, April 3 and no fines will accrue during that time period.

Our virtual libraries at schlowlibrary.org and centrecountylibrary.org will remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout our closures for visitors to get temporary library cards, manage their library accounts, and download digital materials, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, and movies for all ages.

Please visit our websites schlowlibrary.org/coronavirus and centrecountylibrary.org as well as our social media platforms often as we continue to post updates during this rapidly-evolving situation.

The public libraries in Centre County thank everyone for their patience as we determine the best course to continue providing library services while protecting the health of our visitors, volunteers, and staff.
