Public Meeting for Recreation, Parks, and Open Space Plan

Ferguson Township is in the process of updating its Recreation, Parks, and Open Space Plan (RPOS Plan) and residents are invited to take part of the process.

The plan is an ambitious initiative that will set the table for general growth, development, and redevelopment of open space, parks, trails, and recreation programs in the Township. 

Ferguson Township is hosting a public meeting to discuss the RPOS plan with residents on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Township staff and Board of Supervisor members will be engaged earlier in the day. The second session at 5:00 PM will follow the Ferguson Township Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting. Both of these sessions will be held in a hybrid format at Ferguson Township Municipal Building in the Main Meeting Room.

This is the second public meeting hosted for the RPOS Plan. In November, Ferguson Township with HRG hosted an Engagement Station during the Winter Market at the Rivet. Residents were provided an easy way to share their ideas, memories and recommendations with us in several engaging ways.

Ferguson Township and consultant HRG have prepared a Citizen's Survey for residents and park users to help the Township create a vision for the future of the park system. Click here to participate & click here to learn more about the RPOS Plan.
