Proposed 2024 Operating Budget Reviewed by Board of Supervisors

The Township Manager receives budgetary request from department heads for consideration based on the professional recommendations of staff. Generally, the Manager and Finance Director review budgetary requests from departments to carry forward line items approved for inclusion in the Proposed Budget. The proposed annual operating budget includes proposed expenditures and revenues for the upcoming fiscal year as well as projections for the current fiscal year. This year, the Assistant Township Manager and Manager, with assistance from consultants, presented a Proposed Budget to the Board for consideration for appropriations using the recommended platform, ClearGov. 

In accordance with the Township Charter, Section 2.02 Duties and Powers of the Board is to make appropriations, incur debt, and adopt the budget. At the Special Meetings, held on October 24 and October 26, 2023, the board reviewed and discussed changes to proposed appropriations for a revised draft budget to be presented at the November 6, 2023, Regular Meeting.
