PENNDOT Maintenance Schedule for Centre County

Bellefonte, PA – PENNDOT Centre County Maintenance announces the following work schedule for the week of June 15, 2020 through June 19, 2020, weather permitting. Motorists should travel with extra caution in these and all work areas. Motorists should be aware that due to the nature of highway maintenance and emergency work, crews could be working on any highway at any time of the day or night.

Bridge Cleaning

The following work is scheduled to be completed by contractor, weather permitting.

George S Hann & Sons, Inc, will continue construction on SR 26 bridge site at Segment 0200 Offset 0000 Northbound and Segment 0201 Offset 0000 Southbound over Thompson Run at Puddintown Road.  Traffic will switch to phase # 2 set for Friday, May 29th.  Northbound traffic will be switched over to the right and utilize the newly constructed bridge deck and Southbound traffic remains the same.  2 lanes of traffic will still be maintained in both directions with the center turning lane closed.

Glenn O. Hawbaker began construction on SR45 Old Fort they will continue placing the w4earing course.  Traffic patterns will be in place starting at 8:30am daily and work is weather dependent. 

HRI, Inc will begin work on placing new traffic signal poles and sign structure at the intersection of SR 26 Jacksonville Road and I-80 Exit 161 Westbound in Marion Township. They will begin to run the wires to the new signals and prepare them to be activated. Once activated they will take down the temporary signals. Line painting will consist of moving the stop bar on SR26 to its new location. There will be flaggers in place for changing traffic patterns during the working hours. 

Nestlerode Contracting Company will continue their work for replacing a box culvert on SR 2007 in Spring Mills.  The contractor will place water proofing membrane, grout cut off walls and prepare for placement of distribution slab.  There is a detour that will remain in place until all work is completed.
