Penn State Sustainable Communities Collaborative Spring 22 Campus and Community Sustainability Expo

The Expo celebrates sustainability-focused student projects in partnership with Pennsylvania communities. The event allows attendees to explore a variety of topics, research, and designs, meet community partners, Penn State students, faculty, and administration, and also hear from John Dawes, a leader in clean water protection, and enjoy light refreshments. The event is open to the public, and parking is conveniently located in the Pugh Street Parking Garage.

The Sustainable Communities Collaborative (SCC) facilitates engaged scholarship projects as part of the outreach mission of the Sustainability Institute. The SCC connects Penn State faculty, students, and staff with local communities to address sustainability challenges through an engaged, collaborative effort. Each project is facilitated and involves faculty expertise and students from across the academic spectrum, co-led by a key community leader and the University’s SCC staff, to help develop and support thriving, healthy communities and advance student learning about the scholarship of sustainability.

At the end of each semester, projects and partnerships are celebrated with an Expo that brings together the community, university, and students to share their experiences, opportunities, and sustainability achievements.

The Expo is free and open to the public on April 27th, 2022 from 5-7 PM at 3 Dots Downtown.  RSVP is not required.
