PA Department of Environmental Protection Seeks Public Comment on Slab Cabin Run Evaluation Report

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) gives notice that the Slab Cabin Run Draft Stream Evaluation Report is available for public comment on the DEP's website for a 30-day comment period. Any comments received on the draft report will be reviewed and considered in the evaluation.

The Slab Cabin Run evaluation was conducted in response to Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission Class A Wild Trout classifications and an existing use evaluation associated with a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit. The Slab Cabin Run basin is currently designated High Quality - Cold Water Fishes, Migratory Fishes (HQ-CWF, MF) from the basin source to State Route (SR) 26 at 40°43'46"N; 77°52'42.4"W and Cold Water Fishes, Migratory Fishes (CWF, MF) from SR 26 to the mouth, excluding unnamed tributary (UNT) 23037 (Thompson Run), which is designated HQ-CWF, MF.

The draft report is available for review through Monday, March 6, 2023 on the DEP's eComment website at www.ahs.dep.pa.gov/eComment.

All comments, including comments submitted by e-mail must include the commenter's name and address. Commenters are encouraged to submit comments using the Department's online Comment tool at www.ahs.dep.pa.gov/eComment or by e-mail to ecomment@pa.gov.
