New Centre Crest Facility

Centre Care

Since Centre Care became a nonprofit nearly five years ago, the Board of Directors has considered advances in healthcare, the changing expectations of those seeking care, and new state regulations which will come into play in 2022. Given changes and increased state expectations, and what we learned from conversations with community members, we have determined that the time is right to construct a state-of-the-art, yet still highly affordable healthcare facility.

The Centre Care Board acquired land in College Township and are in the process building a new 240-bed skilled nursing facility behind the former Starlite Drive-In Theatre between Benner Pike and East College Avenue. The state-of-the-art facility will offer traditional long-term care, as well as, three specialty units that are in high demand for Centre County residents—including a high acuity unit, a memory care unit and a short term rehabilitation unit. The new facility plans to be opened by the end of the year.
