Mokita Dialogues Examine “Women’s Rights"

Talk on March 26 to look at the challenging issues women face today
Shannon DeHoff

One hundred years ago, the passing of the 19th amendment provided women a stronger voice in politics by granting them the right to vote. March is Women’s History Month, and the March Mokita(R) Dialogues will bring us together for a powerful discussion on the evolution of women’s rights and the pressing issues women continue to face.

The Jana Marie Foundation’s 2020 Mokita(R) Dialogues continues on Thursday, March 26 with “Women’s Rights.” Shannon DeHoff, the graduate assistant for Penn State’s Gender Equity Center, leads the discussion.

The event begins at noon at 3 Dots Downtown in State College.

DeHoff is earning her master’s in higher education at Penn State. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English Writing from St. John Fisher College in Rochester.

All Mokita(R) Dialogues are free and open to the public. Thanks to the Downtown Improvement District, free parking in the Pugh Street Garage will be offered for those who attend a Mokita(R) Dialogues session.
