When many hear the word “disability,” there is an implication that something is missing. For the Jana Marie Foundation’s Mokita Dialogues in July, we’ll talk about the strengths, abilities, and the truths of those we know and love that are left unspoken.

Fran McDermid, director of program operations for Strawberry Fields leads the virtual discussion on “Disability,” starting at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 23. To join the conversation via Zoom, go to tinyurl.com/MokitaDialogues.

“Jana Marie Foundation is excited to continue the Mokita Dialogues series with this important conversation on disabilities,” says Marisa Vicere, President and Founder of Jana Marie Foundation. “Together we can learn, share, and take action to create inclusive environments for all.”

For 48 years, Strawberry Fields has provided comprehensive services and support for people with disabilities and their families. The State College based organization offers a continuum of services, enhancing the lives of individuals and families with developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and mental illness.

The next Mokita Dialogues will be August 27, and the discussion will center around the “Political Climate.”
