Micro-surfacing of Township Streets to Begin the week of June 12, 2023

Beginning the week of June 12, 2023, multiple streets will undergo micro-surfacing in the vicinity of Hunters Chase, Turnberry, Middle Street, Park Center Boulevard, Old Gatesburg Road, and Morengo Road in Ferguson Township. The maps below show the locations of streets to be micro-surfaced this year.

During the mirco-surfacing process, streets being worked on will have one lane closed at a time. Affected residents have already been notified of the upcoming work.

Micro-surfacing is a process in which a liquid-oil and crushed rock mixture is applied in two applications to asphalt pavement. This process protects the surface of the road from the effects of natural aging and the environment caused by inclement weather, excessive heat and the searing effects of the sun.
