Happy Parks & Recreation Month!

Throughout the month of July, Ferguson Township will be hosting activities and contests with chances to win a t-shirt or a day pass to Welch Pool.

Post a picture & Tag Ferguson: Residents of Ferguson are encouraged to visit a local park or explore the outdoors and document it with a picture. Pictures can be posted on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook and must tag Ferguson Township to be eligible to win a prize.

Tell Your Park Story: Ferguson residents are invited to participate in Parks and Recreation Month by submitting a story or illustration that contains their favorite local park or local park memory. Click here to enter.

Where am I?: 4 Pictures will be taken of sections of different parks. Each picture will be posted on a separate day allowing for residents to try and guess what park it was taken in. Everyone who comments correctly will be entered into the weekly drawing.

This is our way to celebrate the great parks & recreation programs and gorgeous parks! Here in Centre County, parks and recreation programs increase a community’s economic prosperity through increased property values, expansion of the local tax base, increased tourism, the attraction and retention of businesses, and crime reduction.
