Ferguson Township at the Winter Market

Ferguson Township with HRG hosted an Engagement Station during the Winter Market at the Rivet on Saturday, November 6. Residents were provided an easy way to share their ideas, memories and recommendations with us in several engaging ways.

In one activity, HRG asked residents to “gamble with their future” by providing each participant with five poker chips to represent investment in the park, recreation and open space system. The participant was then asked to deposit their chips into the container corresponding to the category of recreation amenities where they most want to see investment made over the next five years. Representative categories included: soccer fields, walking and biking trails, and more! Participants also had the opportunity to post any ideas they had on an idea board for items that were not captured in the activity.
