Ferguson Township Recreation, Parks, and Open Space Plan Update

During their regular meeting on July 19, the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors awarded a contract to consulting firm Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) to update the Ferguson Township Recreation, Parks, and Open Space (RPOS) Plan.

The RPOS Plan provides a long-term outlook and vision for Ferguson Township parks, recreation facilities, and open space. The update will drive near-term and long-range planning, ensure Township parks provide recreational opportunities for all members of our community, direct decision-making, and resources toward a defined vision for the future. The Township's RPOS Plan was last updated in 2009.

HRG commits to closely working with the Parks and Recreation Committee to undertake a planning process that explores general growth, development, and redevelopment of open space, parks, trails, and recreation in the Township.
