Board Adopts Anti-Discrimination Ordinance and Establishment of Regional Human Relations Commission

The Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors adopted an Anti-Discrimination Ordinance and the establishment of a Regional Human Relations Commission at the regular meeting on February 7, 2023.

The Anti-Discrimination ordinance is enacted to ensure that all persons enjoy the full benefits of citizenship and are afforded equal opportunities, unburdened by unjust discrimination, for housing, employment, and use of public accommodation regardless of race, color, religion, ancestry, age, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, source of income, disability or handicap, presence of a service/assistance animal, pregnancy, marital or familial status or family responsibility.

The Regional Human Relations Commission will have jurisdiction to hear complaints brought before it under the terms and provisions of this Ordinance and the ordinance establishing the Commission enacted by the participating Municipalities.
