2023 Centre Region Rental Housing and Building Safety Code

In collaboration with Centre Region Code Administration, Ferguson Township has worked to review and update the Centre Region Building Safety and Property Maintenance Code, 2017 Edition.

Centre Region Code Administration conducted a participatory process with stakeholders to receive input for changes to the Code. On May 15, 2023, Walt Schneider, Director of Centre Region Code Administration, provided an overview of the amendments and continued discussion with the Board of Supervisors at the June 6 Regular Meeting. The Board of Supervisors adopted the amendments to the Code at the Regular Meeting on July 18, 2023.

Key changes to the Code include Section 101.6 Tenants Rights and a new addition, Chapter 11 Emergency Alarms.
