The Township’s Human Resources representative will investigate and report all findings and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors. In the event that a member of the Human Resources Department is involved in the substance of the complaint, the Board of Supervisors will appoint an independent investigator to conduct the investigation of the complaint.

For Residents:  Regional Human Relations Commission

Municipalities in the Centre Region and in Centre County have established anti-discrimination ordinances with Human Relations Commissions designed to help protect people within their jurisdictions from the negative direct and secondary effects of discriminatory practices.

Citizens may submit a complaint, following the procedure outlined in the below-linked ordinance, within one hundred eighty (180) days of the alleged act of discrimination. Individuals needing special accommodation because of their disabilities should notify the Township Manager's office or the Human Relations Commission to obtain assistance with any proceeding.

Alternatively, residents and employees may file any such complaints with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.

Nepotism Policy

No person will be hired or transferred with the result that he or she will supervise, work with or under the direct supervisions of his or her spouse, parent, parent-in-law, stepson, stepdaughter, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, first cousin, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, or grandchildren.
