Ferguson Township is proud to congratulate Detective Annie Lucas on successfully graduating from Centre County's 29th Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training class.

The 40-hour comprehensive training prepares law enforcement to better respond to individuals living with mental illness and co-occurring disorders through lectures, on-site facility visits, and scenario-based de-escalation and crisis intervention exercises.

Detective Lucas was among 17 graduates in this year's class, bringing Centre County's total to 543 trained emergency first responders in crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation.
