Description:

A true gem of Ferguson Township's parks, the 10-acre Suburban Park is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. While the park sits within walking distance from the shops on Atherton Street and Vairo Boulevard, you would never know that when you're playing a game of tennis, watching your kids enjoy the playground, or taking a bike ride along the path in Suburban Park. The park also includes two pavilions, a youth ball field, and fitness equipment.

Suburban Park Improvements

Suburban Park was under construction throughout the winter of 2023-2024. Work consisted of the following: removing the existing drainage culvert and relocating the stream to the south along with other stormwater upgrades, installation of a new concrete kiosk area at the existing parking lot with a kiosk and bike rack, asphalt perimeter path and connecting paths with a connection to the regional bike route, adding a new pavilion with horseshoe pits, outdoor fitness exercise equipment, four bridges, and perimeter plantings at the southern and eastern property lines.

Parking

The park can be accessed from Vairo Boulevard (to the north) and East Aaron Drive to the south of the park. A parking lot is located at this entrance. Alternate parking locations can be found on Marjorie Mae Street off Vairo Boulevard or along East Aaron Drive to the south.
