Adopt-A-Road

Road

Since 1995, the Ferguson Township Adopt-A-Road program has helped rid Township streets of litter and improve the quality of the environment along Township roadways. Local community organizations such as civic, social, or school groups are eligible to adopt a road as well as individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older. Corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships who wish to sponsor groups may do so. The minimum age for participation is ten (10) years old. Groups with members between the ages of ten (10) and seventeen (17) must be supervised by adults ages eighteen (18) or older in the ratio of one (1) adult per eight (8) participants between the ages of ten (10) and seventeen (17). Groups are asked to pick up litter at least twice per year and commit to the program for a minimum of two years.

If your group or organizations is interested in improving the quality of life in your community and protecting the environment and would like to participate in the Adopt-A-Road Program, contact the Towship at (814) 238-4651.
