During the Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting on November 18, construction bids from local companies were presented by the Public Works Department. Eight companies handed in their bids to the Township at the beginning of October and three were awarded. The Public Works Building needed contracts for the following four categories: General, Plumbing, Mechanical HVAC, and Electrical. Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. was awarded the General Construction contract with a $4,416,000.00 bid. Allied Mechanical & Electrical was awarded both the Plumbing and Mechanical HVAC contracts with $480,000.00 and $1,100,000.00 bids respectively. The Electrical contract was awarded to Westmoreland Electric Services with a $846,000.00 bid.
Construction of the new Public Works Building will break ground on March 16, 2020 and it is estimated that the work period will span 140 work days.
