Meet Our New Officers: Bryan & Cherese
Bryan & Cherese Greene, New Ferguson Township Police Officers

On March 17, 2022 at 2:00pm, the Ferguson Township Police Department formally welcomed two new police officers to the force, Bryan & Cherese Greene. Magisterial District Judge Casey M. McClain read each officer their oaths of office and were sworn-in together surrounded by friends and family.

Bryan and Cherese, who are siblings, grew up in nearby Milesburg, PA, and are locals to the Centre Region. Both are graduates of Bald Eagle Area High School, and both are also graduates of nearby Lock Haven University.

Bryan previously worked with the Lock Haven City Police Department, and also served in the United States Air National Guard for seven years. Cherese worked with the Centre County Government in the Mental Health Department before attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Police Academy.

When each were asked why they wanted to become a police officer, both officers noted that although neither of their parents had been involved in law enforcement, they believed they were raised by them to always be helpful and kind to others, and to be ready to assist someone in need.

Cherese finds the most rewarding aspect of the job to be, "knowing that I made a difference - whether it be saving a cat from a tree, or giving directions to someone who’s lost. It’s the little things." Bryan shares these same sentiments, and noted his favorite aspect is being able to build relationships with the local community.

Bryan enjoys kayaking, fishing, and coaching sports in his spare time, and Cherese is an avid hiker and runner who participates in in 5k races. Spending time with friends and family is a priority for both as well.

Ferguson Township Police Department is delighted to have Bryan and Cherese on board, and looks forward to everyone in the community getting acquainted with our new officers and seeing them out in the community.
