The new decade is just around the corner! The Ferguson Township Police Department would like to remind you to stay safe this holiday by pledging to not drink and drive. According to AAA, January 1 is the most dangerous day on the road. In fact, 10,000 people die each year from drunk-driving crashes.

Use caution when driving tonight and into the early morning. Assign someone as the designated driver and don't get behind the wheel even after just one drink. You can also use a rideshare app - load it onto your phone before you go out for easy access. Keep an eye on your friends and family to prevent putting themselves in harm's way. Call 9-1-1 in a safe location if you happen to see an impaired driver on the road.
