Centre County DUI Task Force will conduct fall semester details

As the fall semester begins, the Centre County Alcohol Task Force would like to remind students and residents that our officers are dedicated to keeping our streets clear of impaired drivers.

The task force will include officers from Ferguson Township, Patton Township, Spring Township, the State College Borough, the Centre County Sheriff's Department, and Penn State University -- all working in collaboration with each other to strictly enforce all drug- and alcohol-related vehicle crimes.  

Officers will be conducting checkpoints as well as roving DUI patrols throughout the fall semester.  

You'll never know where the next detail may be, so we remind you to always plan a safe way home.  The first checkpoint will be held at a predetermined location on Friday, August 23.
