On April 20, Governor Wolf signed Senate Bill 841 that helps local municipalities respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. This new legislation allows municipalities to suspend (or toll) all municipal government permitting requirements since March 6 by 30 days since the bill was signed into law (April 20). These requirements include reviews, hearings, and decisions that were suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The bill also allows all local governments to conduct virtual meetings and the ability to notarize documents remotely.
