Lisa Strickland is a native of State College and a graduate of Penn State University.
She previously served as chair of the Ferguson Township Planning Commission, chair of the Centre Region Planning Commission. She was also previously a member of the Steering Committee of the Pine Grove Mills Farmers Market and participated in the development of the Pine Grove Mills Small Area Plan.
