Proclamation: July 2022 as Park & Recreation Month

July is Park & Recreation Month in Ferguson Township!

On July 5, 2022, at the Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting, the Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a proclamation to mark July 2022 as Park & Recreation Month in Ferguson Township.

This proclamation coincides with National Park & Recreation Month as recognized by the National Recreation and Park Association. The theme for 2022 National Park & Recreation Month is "Rise Up for Parks!". The purpose is to raise awareness on the vital impact park and recereation have on communities in the United States.

July 15, 2022 is also "National Park & Recreation Employee Day", and is celebrated alongside this month-long holiday. 

Along with this proclamation, Ferguson Township is engaging in an online interactive social media campaign to highlight various parks in our Township. Residents can participate in three different campaigns, which include:

• Park Stories
• "Where Am I?"
• Tag #FergusonParks
