May is Bike Month in Ferguson Township

Bike Month

At the March 16 Board of Supervisors Meeting, Bike Month was proclaimed for the month of May in Ferguson Township. This is in line with the National Bike Month which is promoted by the League of American Bicyclists and is being celebrated all across the nation. May is dedicated to showcasing the many benefits of bicycling and encouraging people to try biking.

With summer around the corner, this is the perfect time to get into cycling! Participating in Bike Month is easy: Take your bike around the block, add cycling into your workout routine or even use your bike instead of a car on your commutes. There are so many great bike paths right here in the Township so be sure to try them out! Biking is also great social distancing activity to get families moving.

The Centre Region Council of Governments will be posting events throughout the month for anyone to participate in. Stay tuned on our social media pages and the Centre Regional Planning Agency's Facebook.

Happy Biking!
